Enquiries are now welcome for this litter.......

Puppies leave for their new homes.....
I am often asked........ "Are you sad to see them go?"
No, of course I worry about them, but then I see the joy that they bring to their new homes & the love that they receive & can't be sad about that. Kirra and "Bonnie" were meant for each other............
At 6 weeks
At 6 weeks the pups are pretty independant. They are eating a normal diet though scramble to get some milk from mum....whenever she stands still long enough.
They now live outside, in their run of a night & spend their days wandering around the yard. They manage steps with no problems and get into all sorts of trouble.
The little spot on the head is called a "lozenge" so we have nick named him "Strepsil".
They chew EVERYTHING and toes are their favourite. They play constantly and this is an important learning process. This coming week they will be immunized and microchipped.
They will spend the next two weeks growing a little more and learning social skills from each other and their mother, an important reason why they are too young to leave home yet. This will help to develop healthy happy dogs with good manners.

We've been evicted......
-
Wonder what I can get up to........?
-
Nope......whatever it was, I didn't do it......
-
Not me either....
-
...cause I have a lozenge & I'm cool....
-
I wonder if they wanted this pulled out......oh well it's done now!
-
Ok...I've knocked the pot over...paddled in the water bowl...chewed the broom.....dug a hole...now what?
-
"The BC Team......."
-
-
"Common you guys.......Greg will be home soon....." We don't want him to think this fence will stop us....!
-
All together now.....DIG
-
Toes make for excellent teething........
-
Oh what the hell.....he seems agreeable.......LET'S EAT HIM......
Food for thought........
For those of you that have never had a litter........At 4 weeks, the puppies are eating solids & drinking from a bowl. Their milk teeth are down & are very sharp.
Tilly no longer cleans up their mess, that leaves me.......oh well......that's life!
They play with each other, their mother & their grandmother & delight in playing tug of war with my jeans whenever I venture outside.
They love attention & lay blissfully when having their tummies tickled.
Their nails were trimmed at 2 weeks & will be done again shortly. This is a lifetime job.
They now spend the best part of the day outside giving them the space to play & explore a new world (as opposed to my laundry.....)
They still come inside of a night as the temperatures can drop below 0 degrees.

-
HMMMM another busy day, I have had a poo, a wee, and a nice meal, it must be time for my sleep!
-
Hey Guys there is plenty of room on the new blanket for all of us, lets just be polite about it!
-
Is this my best side?
-
Or do you think this side is better?
-
-
We love these new Borders By Design dog blankets, if we could just decide what side we liked best.

OMG! I sat in the laundry with my little bag of mince and hand fed my babies......they turned into ravenous monsters growling and climbing all over me to get to the MEAT.....I thought at one stage when I had three puppies with a finger in each of their mouths and their giant teeth gnawing at my flesh that I would not get out alive !!!!! They then dropped off to sleep and there has not been a peep out them since but I know that while they sleep they are working on their worst plot yet...to create the scurge of all dog owners.......POOP!

-
I hope they give me a good name. What would I like to answer to.....?

If I stay the nice quiet one I will be the first to be picked, then I will be spoiled and get my own bed, my own bowl, my own food service, no more of this sharing everything!

"Hope Mum wakes me for dinner...."

When I can open my eyes I will able to run through the place and hide under the beds....I can't wait! We will all be out of this whelping box so fast.

When the day's were sunny, sun kicks and a day on the grass.
-
My daughter Kim with her Mac. Note the names there? Mac and Kim !
-
Even puppies need to get out of the house and play in the grass, they love the new smells and tastes of the world.
-
These might look like guinea pigs but they are real border collie pup's.
-
Mum catches a few quick ZZZzzzzzzzz'z.
-
Even mum's need some TLC sometimes.
-
There always seems to be a special needs baby, who needs that TLC.
-
After a big day outdoors it is back inside to sleep and keep warm.
